Stargate UAE

Stargate UAE is a planned AI compute campus in Abu Dhabi announced in May 2025 as part of the broader US-UAE AI partnership, distinct from the separate Microsoft/G42 data center expansion also announced for Abu Dhabi later that year (also in this catalog). The project is backed by a consortium including OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco, SoftBank and G42, with site development handled by Khazna Data Centers, the G42 subsidiary that also develops Microsoft's Abu Dhabi facility. G42's own materials describe an eventual campus footprint of up to 10 square miles and 5 GW of capacity, with a first phase of 200 MW targeted for completion around the third quarter of 2026. Neither G42 nor OpenAI has published a specific building address or site name distinguishing Stargate UAE from other Khazna-developed campuses in Abu Dhabi, so the two 200 MW "phase one" figures — this project's and Microsoft/G42's — should be treated as separate, differently sponsored programs rather than confirmed as different physical buildings.
