Equinix DC5 is designated Building D within the 21701 Filigree Court complex on the Ashburn, Virginia campus, a single-story, reinforced-concrete facility with 57,544 sq ft (5,346 sq m) of colocation space. Power infrastructure runs N+2 UPS redundancy with an N+1 block-redundant generator plant, and the published minimum cabinet density is 5 kVA on 120V/208V distribution. As one of several buildings sharing the Filigree Court address cluster, DC5 benefits from short intra-campus cross-connect paths to neighboring DC-series facilities and, through them, to the Ashburn metro's dense network-provider ecosystem. The facility holds Equinix's standard compliance stack for the Washington DC metro, including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53/FISMA High and HECVAT. DC5's block-redundant generator design differentiates it slightly from the simpler N+1 configuration used in some neighboring buildings, though it remains a standard-density colocation facility rather than a purpose-built high-density or AI compute site.
