Equinix DC1 sits at 21711 Filigree Court, one of the earliest buildings on the operator's Ashburn campus in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia. The single-story, reinforced-concrete facility holds 19,935 sq ft (1,852 sq m) of raised-floor colocation space, making it one of the smaller footprints in the DC series compared with later-generation buildings on the same campus. Power is delivered on a 2N UPS topology with N+1 generator redundancy, and the published minimum cabinet density is 2 kVA on 120V/208V distribution, reflecting the building's original design generation rather than current high-density deployments. Like the rest of the Ashburn campus, DC1 is positioned to reach the largest peering exchange hub on the US East Coast, with cross-connects into the other DC-series buildings and cloud on-ramps available through Equinix Fabric. The facility carries Equinix's standard compliance stack for the metro, including ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53/FISMA High and HECVAT attestations, positioning it for network-centric and enterprise colocation rather than bulk high-density compute.
