DataGryd — 60 Hudson Street

60 Hudson Street is one of the most connectivity-dense buildings on the East Coast, a former Western Union telegraph headquarters that now hosts dozens of independent network and colocation tenants; DataGryd is one of the largest, leasing entire floors it calls MegaSuites rather than individual cages. Since opening in 2011, the operator has built out up to 120,000 sq ft of raised-floor space and up to 12 MW of power distributed through a proprietary system it markets as MicroGryd, designed to give tenants dual-contingency power paths without needing a full 2N build-out across the whole floor. The building's draw for DataGryd's customers is less about DataGryd's own infrastructure than about what's already inside 60 Hudson: more than 300 carriers and exchanges cross-connect within the building, making it a natural landing point for networks that need to reach New York's financial and media tenants without a separate haul to New Jersey. DataGryd competes directly with other branded operators inside the same building, including NYI, for tenants that want a managed suite rather than a raw meet-me-room cage.
