Compass Red Oak Campus

Compass Datacenters began developing its Red Oak campus just south of downtown Dallas in January 2020, when it acquired 225 acres and started construction on a first 6 MW building using the company's prefabricated, hybrid air-cooled design that runs without water during normal operations. The site expanded sharply in April 2023 with the purchase of another 375 acres of adjacent undeveloped land, and Compass now describes the Red Oak development as nearing completion at 360 MW of planned IT load, positioning it as the largest campus in the operator's Dallas–Fort Worth footprint alongside a separate Compass site elsewhere in the metro. The campus is served by a dedicated high-voltage substation and multiple carriers with diverse fiber routes, and Compass markets the design toward hyperscale, cloud and enterprise tenants that need rapid, modular capacity. Public disclosures from Compass do not break out a building-by-building count or name individual data halls at Red Oak, and no third-party Uptime or TIA-942 certification has been published for the site.
