DataVolt TAS-1 — Best data center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan 2026
#1 of 3 · See the list →

TAS-1 is the first Uzbek facility of DataVolt, the Saudi data center developer, and is being built inside Tashkent IT Park, the country's technology special economic zone. The operator states 12 MW of IT capacity, liquid cooling engineered for high-density cloud and AI workloads, carrier-neutral connectivity and a 99.982 percent uptime target, with more than 95 percent of the electricity to be sourced as green power. In June 2026 DataVolt closed up to USD 150 million of 12-year non-recourse project financing from a development-finance club comprising the EBRD, DEG, Proparco and the OPEC Fund for International Development, which is unusual for a Central Asian data center and gives the schedule more weight than a typical announcement. Phase 1 is targeted Ready-for-Service by the end of 2026, with a second phase in late 2027. Beeline Uzbekistan signed a memorandum in June 2026 setting out commercial terms to become one of the first and largest tenants; a second, exploratory memorandum covers a possible DataVolt site in Bukhara. For buyers, this is currently the only announced Uzbek project that combines liquid cooling, carrier neutrality and international lender scrutiny, but nothing is in service yet and the published Tier III positioning is a design claim rather than an issued Uptime certificate.
