Why prices sit where they do

Uzbekistan's recorded capacity is small and state-adjacent: 15.3 MW across six facilities, four of them Uzbektelecom's UzCloud sites in Akhangaran, Kokand and Bukhara plus the e-government facility outside Tashkent. The largest single project is DataVolt's 12 MW liquid-cooled build in Tashkent IT Park, financed with $150m of non-recourse debt from EBRD, DEG, Proparco and the OPEC Fund — the first internationally financed data center in the country and the only AI-ready site recorded here. Power at $0.093/kWh sits between Kazakhstan's $0.086 and Armenia's $0.122; the tariff for legal entities rose to 1,100 UZS/kWh in June 2026 and is indexed annually. Read the certification column closely before shortlisting: this market holds design certificates only, with no Constructed Facility award anywhere in it.
