East Telecom's Yunusabad facility is the largest purpose-built commercial colocation site to come online in Tashkent in recent years and was delivered with Korea Telecom, which holds a stake in the Uzbek operator. Construction began in March 2023 and the building was completed on a fourteen-month schedule, entering service in April 2024. The operator publishes a four-storey layout of 6,000 square metres with room for more than 300 equipment racks, redundant power and cooling, physical security and round-the-clock monitoring; it does not publish an IT load figure, a PUE or an Uptime certificate, describing the design only as following Uptime Institute Tier III architectural recommendations. Services are colocation plus managed network and security, with cloud services announced as a next step. Early tenants come from banking and fintech, sectors that in Uzbekistan face data-residency expectations and therefore need domestic capacity rather than offshore hosting. East Telecom has also stated an intention to build a second site near Tashkent and, together with Korea Telecom, a wider Central Asian data center footprint spanning Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Buyers evaluating this site should ask for the per-rack power envelope and the certification status in writing, since neither is disclosed publicly.
