Digital Edge OSA1

OSA1 is Digital Edge's first fully self-built data center, in Osaka Business Park in the Chuo ward of Osaka's central business district, close to Osaka Station. The purpose-built, multi-tenant building provides 7,700 square meters of colocation space for more than 2,900 cabinets at 5 kVA each, totaling 14.4 MW of IT power — one of the larger single-building capacities in Digital Edge's Japan portfolio. The design incorporates intermediate-layer seismic vibration isolation with oil dampers on each floor and siting outside government-mapped flood hazard zones. Power draws from two utility feeders through an N+1 block-redundant UPS configuration, backed by N+1 gas-turbine standby generation with 48 hours of diesel reserve, and cooling runs at N+20% redundancy through CRAH units paired with air-cooled modular chillers, giving a designed average annual PUE of 1.32. OSA1 holds ISO 14001, 27001 and 45001 certifications and is described by the operator as a Tier 3 facility. Digital Edge markets the site, alongside its Tokyo cluster, as part of its coverage of Japan's two largest data center metros.
