Sairam Data Center

Kazteleport is the ICT arm of Halyk Bank, the country's largest bank, and Sairam was its first data center built as a standalone commercial building rather than a machine room inside a bank site. It went live on 9 November 2022 as the seventh facility in the company's national network. The published configuration is 270 sqm of hall, 120 42U racks, 2 MW of installed power and up to 7 kW per rack — modest density, aimed squarely at enterprise colocation rather than accelerated compute. The electrical design is 2N: two independent 2,500 kVA transformers, two diesel generators rated above 1.5 MW each, and modular UPS on lithium batteries. Cooling is precision in-row with free cooling, and the operator quotes a 99.982% SLA. Sairam holds both Uptime Institute Tier III awards, for design documents and for the constructed facility; at launch only two facilities in Kazakhstan held the pair. The commercial case for a buyer is compliance rather than scale: a bank-owned operator carrying the full ISO stack (27001, 9001, 14001, 45001, 20000-1), located in Almaty — the country's commercial capital and main peering point — with a redundant fibre ring to Kazteleport's other sites.
