Yereymentau Data Center

Despite the name — Yereymentau is a town in Akmola region — this facility sits in central Astana, at Abay Avenue 47A, and it is Kazteleport's answer to demand for certified capacity in the capital, where government agencies, banks and state-owned companies are concentrated. The operator publishes 366 sqm of machine hall, 100 racks and 2 MW of installed power, with the racks split by density: 80 provisioned at 7 kW and 20 at 14 kW. Electrical topology is 2N — two 2,500 kVA transformers, two diesel generators above 1.5 MW each, and 800 kW modular UPS units on lithium batteries with a 15-minute autonomy. Cooling is in-row precision with more than 1 MW of capacity and free cooling, held to ASHRAE limits. Construction was complicated by marshy ground and high groundwater, which forced additional foundation work. The site was commissioned in October 2024 and appears in the Uptime Institute register with both the Tier III design and constructed-facility awards, making it the first facility in Astana to complete the pair. For buyers, the relevant point is that certified capital-city capacity in Kazakhstan is still measured in hundreds of racks, not thousands.
