JH2 is Equinix's second data center in Johor, Malaysia, under construction in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) as a sibling to the operator's first Malaysian site, JH1, in nearby Iskandar Puteri. Equinix marked the building topping out in November 2025, with an initial investment of about US$201 million. The facility is planned in two phases — roughly 1,100 racks scheduled for the first quarter of 2027 and a further 1,125 racks in the third quarter of 2027 — for a combined 2,225 cabinets at full build, with liquid cooling engineered in to support AI and HPC workloads that JH1's air-cooled retail suites were not designed for. No exact street address, floor area or power capacity has been published yet. Equinix has said JH2 will interconnect with JH1, the Kuala Lumpur sites KL1 and the announced KL2, and Singapore through Equinix Fabric, extending the operator's Singapore-adjacent cluster into Johor's new special economic zone.
