GoDaddy operates a data center in Phoenix, Arizona that came online in June 2006 and remains the anchor of the company's global infrastructure. At the time of a 2012 operator-led tour it comprised eight data halls with room for eight more pods of expansion, eleven diesel backup generators, and enough capacity to support 52 million domains and 5 million websites. GoDaddy's 2015 IPO filing later disclosed that the company owned this Phoenix facility outright, at more than 270,000 sq ft, while leasing all of its other data center space (then in Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona, Los Angeles, Chicago, Ashburn, Amsterdam and Singapore) from wholesale providers. GoDaddy has since consolidated its leased footprint substantially, exiting 29 data centers since 2019 as it shifted workloads toward public cloud, but the company-owned Phoenix building continues to anchor its hosting and domain infrastructure. Public sources do not give a current power capacity, PUE or certification for the site.
