Empyrion MY1 Johor Data Centre Campus

Empyrion Digital, a Singapore-headquartered platform backed by Seraya Partners, topped out the first 40 MW building of its MY1 campus in the SiLC industrial cluster of Nusajaya, Johor, in August 2026 — a construction milestone on the way to a five-phase, 200+ MW hyperscale campus on 34.9 acres. Tenaga Nasional Berhad has approved 145 MW of initial power allocation for the site, which is designed to hit a PUE below 1.3 on liquid cooling and below 1.4 on air cooling, targeting hyperscalers and AI/HPC tenants alongside conventional cloud workloads. First energisation is slated for September 2026, with the initial 40 MW building's ready-for-service date pushed from an original Q4 2026 target to Q1 2027. The campus is planned to connect to Singapore via the SPTel cross-border fiber platform, reinforcing Johor's role as overflow capacity for space- and power-constrained Singapore, and Empyrion intends to source green energy through long-term power purchase agreements. MY1 is Empyrion's sixth data center development across Asia and its first ground-up build in Malaysia, adding another entrant to the fast-growing SiLC and Iskandar Puteri corridor alongside Bridge, STT, AirTrunk and Equinix campuses already under construction nearby.
